Pastor Who Dies Behind the Pulpit Singing Pharrell's "Happy" Song? [NOT TRUE]

Pastor Who Dies Behind the Pulpit Singing Pharrell's "Happy" Song? [NOT TRUE]

UPDATE on December 21, 2014: We want to set the record straight that one of our readers is refuting the news from Christian Examiner that reported Pastor Gordon Humphrey Jr. died at the pulpit singing Pharrell's song: "Happy". We want to thank the reader for stating:
"...He didn’t sing the song, he used the lyrics as a point in his sermon. Then he sat down at the conclusion, closed his iPad, and collapsed..."
We want to apologize to his church members and family as we mentioned the source that stated this news and at times we can get wrong facts. We have to say that major Christian news sites are reporting the same news we did and they are Charisma News, Christian Post, Christian Today and others. We also acknowledge that a Pastor Greg Hunter appears to be one person who spoke on his death at the time it happened. We did state below in the original post that "if this is true" because there could have been a chance it was not and we assume this is the case now. Also, we did not mean to offend anyone if it appeared we judged him at this death. Please forgive us.

Original story below with our thoughts and alleged untruths about his death crossed out from Dec.18, 2014.

We have received reports that Pastor Gordon Humphery Jr. dies in the pulpit singing a popular secular song by rapper Pharrell named "Happy". People have been saying its OK to sing secular songs or make them 'churchy' but what does God say? Does He agree with this?
If the story is true, this takes us back to what Bishop Earthquake Kelley said years ago when he stated God told him that preachers were going to start dropping dead in the pulpit because they allegedly were not pleasing God. We are not stating this happened to Pastor Humphrey but it just reminds us that we don't always please God with our actions.

Report from Christian Examiner states:

Pastor Gordon A. Humphrey Jr. of United Ministries passed away while preaching at the pulpit this Sunday, according to reports. The 60-year-old pastor was ministering at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago and singing Pharrell’s hit song “Happy” when he suddenly collapsed. Church members attempted to revive him and phoned for an ambulance.
“They did call paramedics right away,” Pastor Greg Hunter, a mentee of the man, told The Christian Post. “They had people in the church that are in the medical field working on him as well and he was taken to the hospital. Every location was devastated. Stockton, Oakland, Shiloh, everybody was devastated.” “I’m not sure if they determined the cause of death but it’s been said he may have had a heart attack,” he added. Pastor Humphrey had been shepherding three flocks at the time of his death: Olivet Church in Stockton, Calif., Olivet of Oakland, Calif., and Shiloh Missionary in Chicago.
