Cop, Darren Wilson Resigns from His Job

Cop, Darren Wilson Resigns from His Job

This coward resigns only because he is forced to due to death threats not just on him but the whole entire police force. We also read he received nearly $1 million dollars in donations since the killing of Michael Brown, so consequently he's going to be just fine. SMH.

Read report below:

Darren Wilson resigned from the Ferguson Police Department, his lawyer said Saturday, nearly four months after the white police officer’s fatal confrontation with the unarmed Michael Brown sparked protests across the USA.

His resignation is effective immediately, said one of his lawyers, Neil Bruntrager.
In a story published Saturday evening, Wilson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he resigned after the police department told him it had received threats of violence if he continued to work there.
“I’m resigning of my own free will,” he told the newspaper in a phone interview. “I’m not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me.”
The text of the letter:
I, Darren Wilson, hereby resign my commission as a police officer with the City of Ferguson effective immediately. I have been told that my continued employment may put the residents and police officers of the City of Ferguson at risk, which is a circumstance that I cannot allow. For obvious reasons, I wanted to wait until the grand jury made their decision before I officially made my decision to resign. It was my hope to continue in police work, but the safety of other police officers and the community are of paramount importance to me. It is my hope that my resignation will allow the community to heal. I would like to thank all of my supporters and fellow officers throughout this process.

Michael Brown's Father and Entire Family Gets Baptized

Michael Brown's Father and Entire Family Gets Baptized

When Michael Brown Sr. joined nearly a dozen members of his family to be baptized Sunday at Calvary West Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, his son was supposed to be there. For reasons that might never be known, Michael Brown instead lay in a grave in the city of Ferguson, as the family and the world waited to hear whether the officer who killed him would be indicted.

“In the Christian faith a person can be baptized whenever they decide to, and Michael Brown Sr. decided this was the right time,” Rev. Carlton Lee said. “It had nothing to do with the grand jury decision. It was something the family was going to do before this situation came into play—before their son was murdered.”

The occasion marked the second time Brown Sr. has committed to Christ—a pledge he intended to make with his 18-year-old son.

“To see him make that commitment, and then the fact that he wanted to make sure his kids were baptized, speaks volumes,” Lee said.

Police Officer On Trial Darren Wilson Get No Indictment for Killing Mike Brown

Police Officer On Trial Darren Wilson Get No Indictment for Killing Mike Brown

UPDATE: We were just informed that there were 12 grand jurors: 6 white males, 3 white women, 2 black women and 1 black man and only 9 votes were needed for their decision. Obviously, this cancels out the 3 blacks who may have, most likely have voted for an indictment. 9 said "NO" and that's a wrap. "No Justice, No Peace" said all the looters who looted and burned down several stores near the Ferguson police department and other areas.

Report below:

We all knew this. We all knew that this Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson would walk away and see no charges against him for shooting and killing Michael Brown. We knew it and we hope that people have become aware that this is what America does in these cases. We just hate that the young man was robbing a store and happened to get killed by a cop on that day.
NY Times reported:
A St. Louis County grand jury has brought no criminal charges against Darren Wilson, a white police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, more than three months ago in nearby Ferguson.
At a news conference, the St. Louis County prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, said that members of the grand jury deliberated for more than two days before finding that no probable cause existed to file charges against Officer Wilson.
The decision set off a new wave of anger among hundreds who gathered outside the Ferguson Police Department. Police in riot gear stood in a line as demonstrators chanted and threw signs and other objects toward them as the news spread. One woman said: “The system failed us again.”
Mr. Brown’s family issued a statement expressing sadness but calling for peaceful protest and a campaign for body cameras on police officers nationwide. “We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions,” the statement said. “While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen.”
